Jalbreth Sap changed to Dioica Sap 08/24/2013 12:49 AM CDT
Hey folks. I learned that Jalbreth balm is actually made from crushing fish and is used for a Cleric commune. Whoops!

So, I've changed Jalbreth sap to Dioica Sap. Found in the same spot, does the same thing. I also updated the books to show both Belradi and Dioica now. Sorry for the confusion!

Anyone still having trouble finding any of these?

Will any jalbreth we have already collected and prepared either still work for the recipe or convert? Just made a long trip to Mus'pari to gather a bunch of it. Also, the remedy book still says "known to heal internal scars of the skin and nerves" when talking about the herb for a general draught. Elixir looks fine.

Sorry, that was in reference to belradi. Chapter 6, Page 5.

Yes, existing jalbreth will continue to work fine as an ingredient and as a remedy. Using jalbreth sap to make a new remedy may result in its name changing to dioica as I simply renamed the herb at a system level. I also fixed the book's listings.

>Anyone still having trouble finding any of these?

It's winter IG now, so I stopped poking around until spring rolls in. But, before fall ended, I still hadn't found junliar stem or genich stem. Posting the rooms & conditions I had checked for them in as per your hints last month...

*Junliar Stem*
[Mistwood Forest]
A rocky outcropping juts up from the forest floor, surrounded by a tangle of briars along the base. The trail ends here. Bristly shrubs cling to the almost vertical surface in a triumph of faith over gravity, but appear too fragile to bear the weight of even the lightest Gnome.
Obvious paths: southwest.

It is currently fall and it is dawn.
You're positive it's 15 roisaen before the Anlas of Hodierna's Blessing.

*Genich Stem*
[Gwenalion Fens]
Alive with movement, the fen is a tapestry of colorful threads being woven at a measured and unchanging pace. Iridescent-winged insects swarm and buzz, glinting like jewels in the unfiltered light. Birds fly low through the area and occasionally catch a plump bug as they wheel and swoop from the sky. Even the vegetation shifts, the reeds and stunted trees bending in the wind and flowers bobbing with each ripple in the water. You also see a sedate alfar warrior, a stand of trees and a swamp troll.

I have been looking for those clues since I still need to find both herbs myself. Could you repost or summarize them?

Yea, it was buried in the flurry of posts GM Kodius was replying to in that week or two after remedies was released. All hail e-pedia search!

ugh, multiple posts, sorry.

When I was glancing at that "hint" post again, I remembered I was going to say something about this before and got sidetracked I guess:
>I just spent 3 hours added belradi moss to the list... :pain: - GM Kodius

The last time foraging items were released...maybe 2007, 2006? A number of higher level items were added, like viper grass, blue iris, etc. In those were two items that have also been mentioned around a number of Forfedhdar areas as being healing-related in room descriptions: Dustanjis Flower & Dirdel Flower. I can go back and find the places I was seeing this, but if more new herbs need to be added to the system, instead of starting from scratch, might check the GM-lore-fu and see if these are available for what you need. I always suspected someone had some plans for them and it just never got done...

And, on a totally different but useful to the players note, I've been in contact with Olwydd (yey!). We've got the foraging database information cleaned up, added the new herb types, and I added in some locations for the new stuff for a few places in Therengia and Zoluren before winter hit. I'll be adding more once spring comes, at least trying to get one or two places per province (terrain willing) where things can be found, then fleshing it out over the following months.
