Zompu Voucher 09/14/2011 11:17 PM CDT
Hey, I recently purchased a Zompu voucher, and had a few questions.

I've never had an alteration done, and I understand what all I need. I've got my design fleshed out and am working on the materials. My questions are:

1. Is this a premie only kind of thing?
2. Where will this guy be when he wakes up?
3. I've been told that Zompu works on metal armor and occasionally weapons. I've searched Elanthipedia to verify this, but I've not seen anything on there. Where would I find this information?
4. Is there a set schedule when he will wake up or will I just have to wait?

Any information will be helpful!

>1. Is this a premie only kind of thing?

If it doesn't specify it is, I doubt it.

>2. Where will this guy be when he wakes up?

Could be anywhere. If you want to wait, watch the calendar.

>3. I've been told that Zompu works on metal armor and occasionally weapons. I've searched Elanthipedia to verify this, but I've not seen anything on there. Where would I find this information?

In theory, it should be listed on the voucher. If not... it can be hard to know.

>4. Is there a set schedule when he will wake up or will I just have to wait?

Neither. You always have the option of emailing the events team (EMAIL command for address) and asking for help.

Thanks for the quick response... I thought of another question.

Does anyone know if alterations can be done on the new weapons yet? I understand that you can't dye them colors yet, but what about alterating?

I have not heard anything that leads me to believe they will be treated any differently than standard weapons.

R> tap jam
You tap a weathered kertig jambiya with an animite hilt bearing a loosely set cracked black crystal in the pommel
> l jam
Nicked and gouged along the length of the blade, the jambiya has seen much better days. Upon the animite hilt beneath the crystal is a small but masterfully etched shattered dagger. You see the initials "R. R." impressed into the surface of the metal.

You absolutely can alter new weapons.

You can alter new crafted goods BUT I don't know if it's 100% bug-free yet. I know when it first started getting done, GMs noticed that if a player uses one of those cleaning cloths than alter the exact way a forged good displays itself, it wipes the new tap description and goes back to showing your item as "a steel X", "a tempered steel X", "a X", etc.

I googled Zompu

from a calendar entry back in '08-

General Info: Zompu will be altering in the seacaves for five lucky people! He works on metal armor and shields only.

Hmmm, well it looks like he only did 4 lucky people that day... lol

That's only been what? 12 IG years? give or take. Would I still be able to use it assuming he died? Or will I have to beat the head of that trader in now?

Send an e-mail to the events team and see if you can request a visit. I had a Snidley voucher for like 3 years before I put in the effort to get it redeemed.

Also, occasionally there are alterers that will honor any voucher.
