I see the last post on this is from a few years ago... I've rejoined DR since 2007 so just checking new additions to the game. This sounds amazing but the message boards make it sound like it was unsuccessful or under played. I've seen PCs with 'hitman' gear is that part of some rewards system for playing assassins? If I play (I'm a 24th circle) will I be pared with someone comparable? It wouldn't be much fun to have someone twice or 3x my abilities after me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Basically the hitman backpack is a pay-quest item. It's a larger than normal backpack.

A lot of the other things with hitman or assassin came from the Dagger quest, but not all.

As far as I'm aware, there was never any reward associated with the assassins game, aside from the cash inherent in the game itself.

If you type ASSASSIN in game, a list of further options for that verb will come up. Typing in ASSASSIN LIST for example will give you the name of every player currently involved. Right now there are 193 separate people in the system. You will be matched with skill appropriate targets and vice versa.
