Tied to either side of the finely lifesculpted memorial arch in the Asemath Academy campus is a silver-gilded vellum edged with trillium petals.

To those of you in attendance, within earshot, or made aware via rumors and backroom politics,

This statement is not to be taken lightly. I present it to you here, at the site of a soon-to-be sullied event. I present you copies each hung from the Trees of Knowledge and Wisdom in the hopes that you will take the time to consider the meaning of my words without prejudice.

There will be a formal gathering today, sponsored by the Order of the Black Fox, calling together the Lore Guru's crowned over these last months.

One of those Guru's has been deemed unwelcome. Unwelcome because of an unproven assumption. Unwelcome because he chooses to remain private in his dealings. Unwelcome because he bends no knee to man, woman, god or goddess. Unwelcome because he stands for what he believes to be true above all else.

Those same people who find him unwelcome do so from a position of responsibility. They do so while preaching a message of tolerance, inclusion, acceptance, and dialogue. They use words like respect, loyalty, excellence, fraternity, articulation, freedom and honor. They promise that they will remain ever neutral in the dealings of men and instead celebrate diversity of belief and opinion in all things. They do so while they claim that the good of the group outweighs the good of the few.

They do so while they have murderers in their Council. Sorcerors walking the streets of Zoluren call the Black Fox their brothers. They allow the Al'Thor name to be written in their rolls as a name of great honor and reverence.

Are these the great leaders of Zoluren? The beacons of tolerance and inclusion? Do they really fear that which they do not understand so much that they'll exclude a man proven to be a lover of peace and dialogue over swords and sorcery merely because of an unfounded rumor?

Walk through these doors today knowing that while a contest may be held, it is being held without all of the worthy participants. You are all bearing witness to hipocricy and fearmongering that is being masked by people who have been granted a great responsibility. It is being propped up by lies and cowardice.

The Order of the Black Fox has made itself known today for all of the worst reasons.

Eternally,

Nsar, Foresighted of the House of the Waxen Moons
