Rumors, runners, raising [November 6th, 2016] (A followup to: http://forums.play.net/forums/DragonRealms/Events%20and%20Happenings%20in%20DragonRealms'%20Elanthia/In-Character%20Event%20discussions./view?beginning_post_id=1&ending_post_id=1123&page=36#)

He strided swiftly down the cooridors of the ever more familiar living mechanical spider, he had heard rumors that something was astir within the spider. Normal wasn't something the Spider ever seemed to be, but now that it was some type of cross between living and machine, now the term normal and the Spider just didn't jive. It didn't matter He refocused his attention on the situation at hand, there was something astir, something more out of the ordinary out here. That was what he was checking and he was moving swiftly trying to determine what, up a ramp down a hatch, 'what was that, should I go back' His own thoughts raced through His head. He finished his last stride then headed back, 'now where was that,' and there they were a crowd had gathered, Captain Kurmin seemed to be the center of the group.

His odd way of talking was as evident as ever talking as if things were at odds with themselves, but yet they weren't, that there were many options that were somehow tied into themselves. It was odd, but He was starting to get used to listening to Captain Kurmin, his walking seemed strange. His thoughts stopped him short, 'regardless of whether he was part spider or not you still have an oddity, and adventuring has oddities in spades.' He looked around, there were many of the normal group trying to get details, he also noticed that at least one of those that had seen the signs were there with them.

The talking went on for sometime, describing the when and definitely the Web always captain Kurmin's talkings were weblike and didn't seem to give to many if any direct answers. Other that some rodents were stupid creatures. His own sense that nature was sometimes simple and some could see that simplicity as stupid offended Him however He didn't offer any complaint to such a statement, wanting Kurmin to be divulging information pertinent to the mysteries surrounding the festival and especially the Spider.

The conversation continued, with a brief extra flurry of Captain Kurmin needing to move around when one of His old friend Gemrardi, Di for short, had shown up, the prydaen cleric one time of Albreda, though currently favoring Phelim, or at least that was when he last talked to Di, now though it had been a while. 'Could he have been chosen by a new god,' he thought to himself.

His attention went back to Captain Kurmin, there was a suggestion by the S'kra Mur empath Aislynn to go somewhere with better movement, a so called 'Movement room,' she also offered that there would be cookies! Gemrardi seemed to clue in to the suggestion fast, so He followed in on that suggestion hoping that whatever the plan here would assist people's position in understanding what was going on better. After shuffling around with who was following who, and a little going around in a ring the group finally set off for the Cookie Emporium!

The many people started to take in the wonderment of the baked goods, that were free! Kurmin seemed to enjoy it as well. He even skittered up the wall yet again. The S'kra Mur empath asked him what type of technology he had developed to do such things, Captain Kurmin gave his typically round about answer though it seemed it was part of the wonderment of Her.

A gnome who only seemed to speak in Gorbesh started to discuss the different types of captains, it was suggested that perhaps that gnome might make a decent captain in the future or perhaps now in his own way, this current future. He seemed an aggressive sort for such a small person, though he fit into his captain's hat well.

Discussion switched over to the movement of dancing then, and suddenly there came plans to have a ball in this current festival! People were already planning what they were going to wear, He was sure plenty of the ladies had bought plenty of gowns to show off for this event, it certainly would be interesting and He too planned to attend. The conversations shifted, illness was talked of, not the typically illness though of something that an Empath might aid. No this was a darkness, daemonic of the beyond. Captain Kurmin discussed how the Immortals weren't here and this other wasn't here. The Immortals were connected to us and we were to be here, though some of us had an illness of our web. Some suggested Necromancers, though Kurmin was insistent that Necromancers weren't the true Names of these people of the Illness.

It seemed more groups were hurting the Web, and that She, Harawep was trying to keep the web healthy and was using Captain Kurmin to try and divulge this information to them all.

Suddenly the S'kra Mur empath turned to him, confiding in him, "You are correct... He is part spider. Or to be specific, his physiology has changed." This agreed with His thoughts since He had first had contact with Captain Kurmin this festival. Still it was another oddity.

The group talked some more on this issue. The Spiral seemed important, Alamhif would be part of cleansing, though something interesting to him was said by Captain Kurmin, that despite what may seem to be best not all the webs should be burned. The Web needed them, was Harawep somehow going to Redeem these things that were so ill to her Web? Questions that didn't seem to have answers.

Again the conversation changed, to the actually spider. There was much said that seemed to circle around other things, when Captain Kurmin distinctly said, "This is She, moreso than most will ever know."

He softly spoke channeling the Nightingale, Lord Phelim, "Is this," pointing to the Spider "Her only self, does she exist in it but also out of it, during now."

Kurmin looked at him directly saying, "She is. Here. Now. Then. There."

Then the captain nodded strongly to him.

They discussed the captains physiology for a while, he knew he was different and was fine with what She did for him.

Then there were more discussions on Her and the others and the illness, soon though He moved to the Shadows, for they called to him.

Sometime later, a group gathered together and visited Albreda's altar within the Grand Temple of the Crossing looking for advice and the truth behind the sign that was shown to Him by what he thought was Albreda, though no new revelations were shown the group did pray and beseech the Immortal for her help.

Then the group went to the clearing before the living mechanical Spider. There they made offerings and received favor orbs for their efforts. Hopefully many other small gestures were happening, perhaps what was needed was happening. That was His hope.
