All Things Aegis Automaton 01/22/2021 06:30 PM CST
Debuting at 2021 House of the Revenant Fang, we have jewelry items that will summon forth an aegis automaton.

*a heavy iron aegis ring covered with shesegri etchings -- summons a heavy iron aegis automaton covered with shesegri etchings

*a polished hematite aegis amulet covered with shesegri etchings -- summons a polished hematite aegis automaton covered with shesegri etchings

*a hammered bronze aegis wristband covered with shesegri etchings -- a hammered bronze aegis automaton covered with shesegri etchings

Aegis automatons are purely defensive. They do not do any damage. They are there to protect the summoner and have a few extra features when combined with an aegis gemstone (Gemstone Upgrade).

Aegis automatons flex to the summoner and the amount of damage they can absorb is based off of that. The base model comes with 20 charges and each charge used will summon an aegis automaton for 60 minutes. The aegis automaton will disappear after 60 minutes or when its max amount of damage absorption has been reached, whichever happens first. The aegis jewelry has a 60 minute cooldown before it can summon forth another aegis automaton.

When summoned, the aegis automaton will displace the summoner's engagement if they're engaged in combat and the foes will instead face the aegis automaton.

>You run a finger along your aegis amulet.
>A polished hematite aegis automaton covered with shesegri etchings comes stomping into the room, and takes a protective stance next to you.

>With a flash of light a polished hematite aegis automaton covered with shesegri etchings replaces you in combat.

Potency crystals can be used with the aegis jewelry to unlock upgrade settings with a max of 3 upgrade settings. Infuser stones will each add 10 charges to the aegis jewelry.

For their debut, 6 types of aegis gemstones will be offered.

*a prismatic aegis topaz engraved with a stylized eye - allows the automaton to point out hidden and invisible creatures or players with a skill check

>You notice a sleazy lout attempting to stealthily advance upon you!
>A sleazy lout is still a distance away from you and is closing steadily.
>The aegis automaton discovers a sleazy lout, ruining its hiding place!

*a brilliant aegis amethyst engraved with a stylized starburst - allows the automaton to remove stun effects on its summoner

>A polished hematite aegis automaton covered with shesegri etchings emits a pulse of silver light.
>The light hits you, and you recover from your stun.

*a polished aegis bloodstone engraved with a stylized shield - doubles the amount of damage the aegis automaton can absorb

*a pearlescent aegis moonstone engraved with a stylized open palm - allows the summoner to SIGNAL the aegis automaton to drag them to an adjacent room

>signal auto
>Your aegis automaton grabs ahold of you and drags you north.
>[Northern Trade Road, Grasslands]
>Open fields to either side can be dimly seen. Faintly, there comes a trace of woodsmoke, perhaps from the campfires of local herdsmen warming themselves against the night chill. Nearby, a rounded shape proves to be that of a sleeping cow. You also see a polished hematite aegis automaton covered with shesegri etchings, a goblin prince and a twisting wooded trail.
>Obvious paths: south, northwest.

*a square-cut aegis emerald engraved with a stylized hourglass -- doubles the amount of time the aegis automaton can exist per-summon, so 120 minutes versus the usual 60 minutes.

*a rose-cut aegis ruby engraved with a stylized drop of blood -- allows the aegis automaton to tend the summoner's external bleeding wounds

>A polished hematite aegis automaton covered with shesegri etchings fires a blob of white paste at you. The paste hits you, sealing your bleeding wound.

Thank you very much to SGM Javac for coding aegis automatons and SGM Grejuva for QCing it!
