Frost Flare opal vs Frostflare opal 11/26/2019 09:23 PM CST
Happened across a little rabbit hole of syntax, if a GM could check on this when you've recovered from HE-psychosis, I'd appreciate it!

Found a reference in an old auction (https://elanthipedia.play.net/Celebration_Auction_10/13/2007) to a *Frost Flare opal*, which has the wiki page here:
https://elanthipedia.play.net/Frost_Flare_opal

However, we've got a more recent *frostflare opal* we've been seeing, wiki page here:
https://elanthipedia.play.net/Frostflare_opal

Are these the same gem, but with slight variations of naming, or are they indeed 2 separate gems? Thanks!

It's the same gem. Our official internal documentation calls it a "frostflare opal", and going forward, any new items using that gem should spell it that way.

Thanks Cordulia, I'll update those pages shortly. One other point of clarification if you get a chance. Would this still be the correct description of the gem:

"A pale blue stone with flecks of deep blue, white and pale green, with the inclusion of ''snowflake-shaped crystals at its heart''."

That's consistent our internal description of "Tiny multihued snowflake-shaped crystals hang suspended in the heart of the frostflare opal," though I'm not seeing an official description of the colors there. The one sold most recently at Droughtman's has a look of "A myriad of snowflake-shaped crystals are visible within the multihued stone."

Thanks for helping with documentation on Elanthipedia!
