Idle drain on f2p 10/31/2016 11:33 AM CDT
I saw the older (pre f2p) thread that stated afk idle script to drain exp is not against policy.

I just want to check if that's still true now and with f2p accounts, since that's technically getting around one of the f2p limitations without paying for the available booster.

I just recently got back in the game, and with my limited play time, the slow drain is brutal. If afk exp drain (i.e sleeping and hiding until exp clears) is not ok, then I'll live with it, but I suspect it'll decrease the fun factor by a whole lot...

afk idle drain scripts are fine as long as you aren't going to gain exp somehow. Most people recommend hanging out in an inn room.

This question gets asked so frequently by F2P, staff requested we make a wiki page on it: https://elanthipedia.play.net/Idle_experience_drain

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

Interesting. I've never really used the Rest command so I didn't realize it would send the experience command to keep you logged in. Thanks for posting that link.

Thanks for the answers. I guess I didn't think to search in Elanthipedia, so sorry about that.
After reading that page, and revisiting news 5 17, I see that they've actually listed an Exception section on it on the News article.

And I was not aware of the Rest option either, and that's definitely good to know.
