<<Worse case scenerio (& Not saying Simu will do it but they have the right too) is that Simu decides to contact these programs owners/writers/coders & tells them to shut it down, they have too. Simu does have the right to control access to their games. You wouldnt tell GW/WOW/The Sims Online/any other online game that you dont like their FE & are going to use your own, most likely they would ban you from their games if they want to control their access.>>

There is no way for Simu (or GW/WoW/Sims/etc.) to tell what client the user is using. There's a communication protocol that specifies exactly how the server and the client communicate, and it's possible for anyone to program their own client that works exactly the same way.
