Blend / Ranger inviso 11/23/2012 02:55 PM CST
Blend is pulling you out for any action just like the older spell, what this means is it's not acting like other inviso spells, RF, khri, eotb. What i mean by this is it doesn't toggle you to be hidden in any manner.

Regular inviso allows you to hide, blend pulls you out. Regular inviso allows you to get items / stow items / load a bow wield a weapon while staying inviso/hidden. Blend pulls you out.

Also it has no duration (unlimited) and is very quick to cast.

Example:

> prep blend 9
That won't affect your current attunement very much.

Your skin briefly withers and tightens, becoming gaunt as the energies of the Blend spell begin to build up through your body.
> cast

You gesture.
You blend smoothly into your surroundings, making yourself unseen.

I> wie swo

You fade into view for all to see.
You draw out your bastard sword from the leather baldric, gripping it firmly in your right hand and balancing with your left.

You gesture.
You blend smoothly into your surroundings, making yourself unseen.

I> go ditch
You fade into view for all to see. (instead of going through inviso)

I'd like to see improvements with this spell that put it on par with other inviso spells/abilities. They all reinviso you when pointed, allow you to hide/perform actions/ etc.

I hope that makes sense.

>
Kssarh gestures at you.
Two Ranger journeymen materialize out of the surrounding trees and begin to whisper to Kssarh as they escort him out of the area.

I'm not sure if it was meant to change or not, but Blend used to be a "oh crap" spell. It took very little time to cast (snap) and it was supposedly the highest invisio/hiding boost in the game because you couldn't do anything but sit there.

Must of what you talked about with Blend is "Blend"

Did you read something else?

I have to agree, I'm not really sure what this spell is for?

I think as Rangers, we should at least be on par with other guilds' inviso effects, if not more so when in wilderness settings.

One more thing: I can't seem to get Blend to teach Utility at any level of casting. This is with me casting at my mana limit. Every other spell seems to be working for me in this regard.

Thanks
