1) I can't cast beneficial spells on group members that are in the Steps of Vaun. I tried Ellie's Cry via CAST TRAIM and it just cast it at myself.
2) When grouped and under the influence of Steps of Vaun, I can leave the leader(Traim) via a room exit. I can go 2 rooms over but the 3rd room over, I become un-invisible.
3) When I did #2 above and Traim came into my room after I had left, it still had us as grouped but Steps of Vaun started being weird at that point. i.e. when he let it down I remained Invisible, and we couldn't always see each other in the room description as is typical for group members under the influence of Steps of Vaun.
