I could not reproduce the blight bat thing (in Plat, with one blight bat). Is there any chance one had come in right as you cast? The bugs are really hiding from me today it seems, or perhaps I am just dull from the jet lag. <g>

NB should still work on cursed stuff IIRC (the bloodvines should fit in here, I think). Just not on undead (corporeal or non). There's a possibility that some thing have been set rather randomly since before now it probably did not much matter. As a rule if you can manipulate it, then NB should work.

Not that I noted when I looked back. I've had it happened before on occasion. I'll play around with it again when it's night.
