My concern with Research:

I'd like to make sure one can get the research information from the guildleader or whomever gives you the assignment more than once.

So many times in quests, if you don't get the information the first time you're out of luck unless they have the information up on Epedia or DRscripts/cheats, whatever - because if you disconnect during a guildleader explaining a quest or ability oftentimes you can't get them to repeat themselves.
