Passports 11/16/2016 11:17 AM CST
So I was just wondering why there's no 24 hour F2P visa. It would be pretty nice to be able to have a 24 hour F2P visa for F2P characters, especially for certain guilds such as thieves who don't get guild visa's for all khri, in which case you have to have somebody teach and the khri doesn't work at 100% for so many uses. I refer to thieves because that is a major guild that could benefit. But honestly at this point I was playing my cleric and decided to wait till 30th to do both the Infusion quest and the Resurrection quest. I got the guild visa for Infusion, and completed that but have to wait another week or longer to do the Resurrection quest, I would probably spend like 20-50 simucoins for a 24 hour visa no problem. I would just really like the ability to pay for things like this without doing a whole 30 day pass since I really have no other ambition to hang out in Theren except to do the quest.

Can't you stay in a province after your visa expires? I could sadly see people use this as a way to just get cheaper month visas.

Uzmam! The Chairman will NOT be pleased to know you're trying to build outside of approved zones. I'd hate for you to be charged the taxes needed to have this place re-zoned. Head for the manor if you're feeling creative.

I recall (and elanthipedia seems to ahrre) that you can stay abroad once your passport expires, but they thug you or something for overstaying a visa. It seems to work that way in real life, too.

I'm not quite sure on that. Though the last one I just used I remember it saying something about if you overstay your visa you will be collected at your expense. Not sure if that's out of your pocket, or your hide.

I've had a F2P living in shard and one in riverhaven for 4-5 months now on a 30 day visa.

Temporary visas vs passports

If you qualify to go on a guild-related quest, you can request a temporary visa that will allow you to go to another province for 24 hours to complete it.
If your visa expires and you are in an area you don't have the right to be in, you'll be hunted down and returned to Crossing.

Passports can be purchased in the Simucoin store. Once a passport expires, nothing happens directly. You could technically stay forever. If you leave the province, you won't be able to return without a new passport. Some things like moon gates within the same province will stop working since going through the gate checks your status and sees you don't have a passport for the destination, even if you are currently in that province.

Yeah it was a guild visa that displayed that messaging. Odd that passports would work differently, but nifty for being able to have some wiggle room hunting wise. What irks me is the fact that guild visa's have a wait time in between of like a week. I don't see what the harm is for 24 visa's to get stuff that's allowed via guild visa.

My guess is that it's a check to see when your last visa was, period. This is to keep people from getting a visa for an ability, waiting it out then asking for another, repeat.

It's probably a lot more technically difficult to set up a check for when the last visa you got for a specific ability was.
