Errors entering game after upgrade to Windows Vista 02/04/2007 10:21 AM CST

I upgraded my computer to Windows Vista but when I enter stormfront I get a "Trouble reading settings file" error and "Problem saving local settings file" error. Is there anything I can do to resolve this?

We've installed Vista on a machine here at the office and found a work around which is to disable the new Vista security feature called "User Account Control (UAC)" during installs/updates.

1. Goto Control Panel > User Accounts > Turn User Account Control On Off
2. Uncheck "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer"
3. Click OK
4. Reboot

After you've got everything installed and working you can reenable the UAC feature and things should continue to work.
