R-EXP 01/10/2019 09:15 PM CST
So far, I like what I see very much. I ranked theurgy, then sat down to let it drain some more. It has just gotten below the Mindlock state, but had added at least .15 more to the next rank. I'll keep you posted!

I logged off of prime, and into test to check it out and the first time I typed EXP it said 1 minute, then the next time (30 seconds or so later) it says 6 hours. Is this b/c it was the first time logging into test since the character reset?

Basically, yeah. I can probably tweak that to make it a bit more intuitive, but what you saw was your rexp cycle starting up.

Just used up 30 minutes. Seemed to work. It's hard to tell if the boost is working because I have no real concept of pulses in 30 minute time scales. They're so small as to be noise really. I'd have to go grab some old logs and try and suss out pulses per day then exp from that etc, but that's more trouble than it's work I think.

One request if possible, can you have REXP build-up start automatically if you are not gaining new field exp? I made sure to go hide somewhere after burning up my 30 minutes of bonus and did not gain any exp for >10 minutes yet I still got this message:

It's based on drain pulses rather than field exp. There's two ways it starts to build up (numbers are not set in stone yet).

1) You're on-line and your pools have been completely empty for five minutes.
2) You've been off-line for 30 minutes.

If either condition is met, you start gaining rested experience from then onward until the condition is broken.

I grant there can be an argument for basing it off of field exp gains instead of drain pulses, and that was the first thing I tried, but that turned out to be labyrinthine both technically and design-wise.

Bummer, but good info to have. Thanks for sharing.
