I just wanted to update everyone with the fact that the troubles that caused the crashes last night were a combination of issues that appear to have been the culprit of several crashes in the past years that we'd not been able to pin down before. In the past, we'd thought we'd fixed the problems -- and we had! Well, at least in parts.
We put in some emergency fixes that should make things more stable again while we work on more lasting and comprehensive fixes for the underlying issues. This should ultimately help address several problems with regard to lag spikes during various events, and especially with server crashes at auctions.
We're very sorry for all of the troubles, and thank you for your patience.
