The little four room or so stretch right before the tar pit seems to be it's own spawning area, and because of the small size the spawn gets quite rockin' in there. That or maybe because of the non-compass exit barrier the trolls get stuck in there. Something makes it better than the rest of the area to the east of it at any rate.

My understanding is that the area before the tar pit used to be a premium area with better spawn. Premium aspect left, but the spawn being awesome remained.



Uzmam! The Chairman will NOT be pleased to know you're trying to build outside of approved zones. I'd hate for you to be charged the taxes needed to have this place re-zoned. Head for the manor if you're feeling creative.

I remember hunting in there fine in 2.0. Has anyone gone back to check?

Yeah, definitely some good areas in there.

Yes. My f2p barbarian got lucky and escaped with 10% health. It was exciting and unpleasant and I'll never go back there. It's a fairly rare effect, but like I said, it can stunlock.
