2 Questions: Stealth does not train on these guys at 280 yet i'm able to hide, is this intended? Second is there a trick to finding the "walk of bones" area in the muspari desert? Thanks

Without looking at the numbers, it's possible. Creature perception is often set quite differently than their combat skill, so some creatures will teach stealth very well relative to their combat training and others quite poorly. I assume you've tried ambushing various body parts up to and including the eyes?

Ambushing body parts sets no modifier to stealth, only backstabbing exp.

Use poach/snipe while using an aimable ranged weapon to extend the stealth teaching.

You can hide on them with less than 165 stealth ranks and barely learn a trickle of stealth. Either they're one of the blindest mobs ever (relative to combats) or there's something wrong with the perception settings for zombie nomads.

I'll admit I've never hunted them and don't know any lore about them, but this seems to be the likely case to me since their perception is sooooo out of whack compared to combats.

I suggest that the OP post this complaint in the folder of the area they are in. Area owners typically pay more attention to those folders than these since this covers all critters in this range across the whole game.

Will repost it there, thanks.

Any advice on being able to find my way back for more testing? Been up there several times since the first and can't find the trail to get up to the walk of bones area.

I hunted there for a very long time when I still had a character in the desert and I have never once found any trick to locating it.

The Kasto mimic abruptly solidifies, looking very much like Kasto.

If you're up around Muspar'i right now gweth or think to Skaen. I set a highlight string for a high plateau and To the west, the great expanse of black water that is Lake Ratamipak. No idea if the portal into the walk of bones stays within the same room description or not but highlighting high plateau allows you to run around so it'll jump out at you.

Highlighting the strings helped, thank you. retested the stealth issue and it seems off, hiding in a 4 armor mix every time and no exp at 291 even ambushing body parts...

I was the character with 165 stealth ranks. If I wasn't learning more than a trickle while also being mostly immune to being pointed out even at melee then anyone hunting with 'at level' stealth is certainly not going to be learning at all.
