Has anyone hunted Red Leucros recently. The bestiary lists them with a 25 point teaching range, which seems tight.

My TF character just spent an extended period in there, so I'm the one who updated Elanthipedia. I am pretty confident in the upper range, 225.

Here are some sample learning rates from my logs:
Evasion: 219 06% focused (20/34)
Evasion: 220 36% focused (20/34)
Evasion: 223 31% learning (3/34)
Evasion: 223 82% dabbling (1/34)
Evasion: 224 23% clear (0/34)

You can see a dramatic decline in experience somewhere between 220 and 223, but I updated Epedia to be 225, for roundness sake.

And from then on out it would alternate between 0/34 and 1/34, never going above that. I could have maybe danced with 4 and learned more, but this was just with killing them at a normal rate, with weapons at 170, so not exceptionally quickly.

I think their lower range could be adjusted down -- I started there with 203 evasion, 165 shield and parry. But I am less confident adjusting lower ranges, because that is more based on a person's aversion to risk.

Thanks for the detailed feedback--I very much appreciate that.

My weapons are all in the 190's, defenses about 250, and evasion about 260--agility and reflex are 40, so I don't think Leucros are for me. Warcats and Orc scouts move weapons, tactics and skinning--but not much else. Perhaps I'll seek out the Swamp Trolls (3) next or look at Clouded Arzumos.

Geni should work if you dont mind working skinning on another critter while there.

That's an interesting option. I like the idea that the hunting ground is close to people.

My agility, stamina and reflex are all well above what the Elanthipedia reporter was using. But I am worried that my weapons and defenses are a bit on the low side. Definitely worth trying though. Thank you for the advice.

My TF character milked Leucs at 1/34 long enough to be able to move into gryphons in Shard. Evasion is 257, Shield/Parry 213, Weapons 211. They are working great.

My Barbarian moved through the Orc levels and the Rossman Gryphons starting about 200 in skills and leaving the area for Basilisks and Beasts around 450 in skills.
