Baldric and Bo Staff 05/31/2016 04:31 PM CDT

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but couldn't find anywhere else so here goes.

I have a shaped bo staff that is 19x1x1, I measured with a yardstick. I bought a baldric at the Shard Theater Faire and when I measure it with the same yardstick I get 19x2x2 and can hold 250 stones. But when I try to put my bo staff in the baldric I get told it's too big. What am I missing? The staff only was around 60 stone so I don't understand why it doesn't fit inside.

Any suggestions?

Measurements in DR use fractions. Our readings, however, use whole numbers.

Your bo staff is probably 19.X long, while the baldric is 19.Y long, where Y < X. But they both show up as 19.

I didn't realize that. I guess I'm going to have to stick with the weapon strap. Thanks for the info.

I personally like Rebecho ties more than weapon straps.

They're available pretty often, thought not 24x7, and you can get them altered to hold more nouns moderately easily.

Or find someone to sell you a wide leather toolstrap with braided cord ties. You could tie the staff to the toolstrap which is generally worn and open up your shoulder inventory slot.

You could try the baldric from the feltery near the cleric guild near boar clan. It usually fits long weapons like those, so it'd be worth a shot. Same dimensions from our point of view, but it might be just a touch bigger.
