Brigands wear brigandine 06/05/2015 07:15 PM CDT
Does anyone get any bonus from wearing brigandine? If not, I think Traders should get some sort of bonus from wearing it. They are armor secondary. It would make this armor type at least have some sort of relevance.

IIRC, DR moved away from "we want guild X to wear Y armor, so we're going to give them special hindrance rules" and more toward a clear-cut "armor primaries get this, armor secondaries get that, armor tertiary get these." As armor secondaries, Traders can already wear medium shields on their arms and reach lower hindrances than armor terts.

I'm not entirely clear if the mixed armor thing is an armor primary benefit or a paladin benefit, since those two things kinda mean the same thing all things considered.

Uzmam! The Chairman will NOT be pleased to know you're trying to build outside of approved zones. I'd hate for you to be charged the taxes needed to have this place re-zoned. Head for the manor if you're feeling creative.

FWIW, a GM did mention in passing a couple of these discussions ago that brigandine ideally would be considered an armour secondary niche. Practically speaking, however, they weren't entirely sure how to go about actually achieving that.
