Light Plate 10/22/2012 10:57 PM CDT

So I currently use Light Plate (soon to be Brigandine) and Im having a horribly difficult time trying to find a decent suit to wear. Ive pretty much given up hope of finding a "pretty" set of it (ie fest sort of stuff) as it seems GMs simply dont ever put it in shops, but is there anyone that actively makes LP? Ive had no luck finding any in any of the trader shops. Im pretty sure the set I have while nice looking is terrible quality compared to what can be crafted by a good crafter.

Light plate is .... interesting.

I may get the order wrong but, light plate was ignored by the GMs, so no one used it, so the GMs ignored it, so no one used it....

So there's not much that's worth using out there right now, barring the new forged stuff.

I train it, but I only use a chest piece.

Lumium gets you the best bang for your buck in hindrance/protection - Heartsfyre makes great lumium stuff.

Yeah Ive noticed... i think Ive looked at every fest in the last few years and theres nothin. I dont even really see it forged. Its a real shame cause id love to buy a neat looking set like some of the HP pieces I see but theres just literally nothing out there to get. I think mine currently is from the Crossing Paladin shop... crimson with leaping flames. If it didnt bug me to retrain HP I would just start over but Ive already done that with Cloth and Leather once... rather not do it again.

Kraggur makes plate and takes custom orders. You might try asking him.

Forged armor isn't very pretty right now (aesthetically speaking), but hopefully that will change once the Artistry discipline is live.

I had Heartsfyre make a 4.4 density damite lamellar lorica. Came out a bit better than lumium would, but probably not worth the extra expense of damite vs. lumium.
