Any pikes that will fit in a backpack? 12/20/2011 01:47 PM CST
I have a quarterstaff that is worn on my shoulder, and a halberd on my other shoulder as well. Are there any pikes that can fit in a backpack? If not, are there any halberds or quarterstaffs that can?

The javelin\light spear will fit in a backpack. i don't think any of the halberds do.

there are "short hafted" halbards that can fit in backpacks. Theren keep armory sells one, I picked up a short-hafted cambrinth one from guild fest and it fit in my backpack, so I would assume the Theren one does too. They don't hit from pole though.

Put simply, if it hits from pole, its either ranged or doesn't fit in a backpack. I can't think of a weapon that is an exception, although I can think of a few backpacks that are. That said, you could buy a boat for the price as one of the previously mentioned backpacks.

You try, but in the cramped confines of the tunnel, there's just no room to do that.

Personally I abhor the concept of fighting while wearing a backpack. Those kanton pouches-of-holding were a god send.

Partisans are swapable halberd/QS. You could grab on and then use your other shoulder slot for the pike.

Yes, because your utility belt and fanny pack look so much cooler than a backpack while you're duel wielding mirror blades and slaughtering intercessors :D

I refuse to consider the Kanton belt pouches as fanny packs >:/

I tend to prefer envisioning that packs are routinely dropped to fight and then re-collected after a fight.

That's generally how we do it in real life.

Altered my haversack to look like a nice messenger bag. Also, it hides belt worn stuff and itself, perfect for fashion conscious hunting!

If there was an "at the feet" location I'd do that in a heartbeat. I think they were talking about doing that at one point?

Thanks for all the help, light spear out of the weapon book does the trick.

Short hunting spear from Arthe Dale is pike, and fits in backpacks also.

Forged Javelin will fit in a backpack, Short hunting spears as well.

The latter can be made with stone carving, just gotta find someone with the right mech(not much) and some some obsidian or quartzite.
