Force of Impact vs. Suitedness 08/28/2015 01:21 PM CDT
I'm a little confused on what attributes count for HX. I've taken a look at 3 good HX's with different FOI and Suit:

https://elanthipedia.play.net/mediawiki/index.php/Weapon:Bloodwood_double-stringed_crossbow_carved_to_resemble_a_dragon
poorly (3) / fairly (5) / well (9)

https://elanthipedia.play.net/mediawiki/index.php/Weapon:Heavy_repeating_crossbow_carved_like_a_muscular_arm
perfect (17) /fairly (5)/fairly (5)

https://elanthipedia.play.net/mediawiki/index.php/Weapon:Cavalryman%27s_slurbow_with_a_pearl-inlaid_teak_stock
perfect (17) /reasonably (7)/reasonably (7)

I know there has been an appraisal change that changes the stats above, but for comparison's sake that doesn't matter for what I'm talking about here (but if someone has a link to what that's about, I'd appreciate it).

Here are the elanthipedia definitions of the attributes, but I'm not sure if they apply only to melee weapons or for all:

-Balance is a stat that determines two things. The first is how well it utilizes agility to bonus accuracy. It also determines how good a weapon is at parrying.

-FOI: This is known as the Force of Impact (or FoI) stat. The higher this is, the higher the likelihood of it causing a stun, unbalancing, or disarming an opponent.

-Suitability determines how well it uses strength to grant extra damage.

All that said, the DSX is what strikes me. The poor FOI but much higher suitedness. Does this mean high strength people use these best, but the DSX does not have as much chance to stun?

I've seen vague references on the boards that crossbows don't use Suitedness yet, but didn't see anything definitive. Can someone confirm if this is indeed being factored for crossbows and that it determines how strength grants extra damage?

Thanks, hope I was being clear.
