Ammo breakage makes no sense, change my mind 08/30/2019 10:55 AM CDT
Armor doesn't break. Weapons don't break. Why does ammo break? It doesn't make me want to go buy new ammo when ammo that doesn't break exists. This is really only a handicap for people who use crafted ammo. Why are we penalizing people who make their own ammo, and only those people? I feel like ever since crafting was introduced, more and more measures have been taken to discourage its use entirely. Why did we even create these systems if they are inferior, and use mechanics not present elsewhere in the game? Even ammo crafted from microtrans materials break, like fulginode shards for example. The chevron arrows break, but not sunderstone shards. Why? They're both microtrans incidentals. What about senci shards? I've heard those don't break, so why does fulginode? Can we please at least get some consistency?

If I remember correctly, it not being able to track damage correctly on stackable ammo and so factored in a rare but random break. Couldn't tell you why the discrepancy with fulginode, as I would think all MT similar ammo should be safe. Perhaps it was just an oversight.
