Old Leather Armor ID Request 08/08/2015 08:33 PM CDT
I have some old (10+ years) leather armor that I dyed pitch black. I now forget what was its original description. Does anyone recognize these stats and can tell me what this originally looked like?

The pitch-black leathers are light armor.

The leathers look like they offer protection for the following areas:

right arm
left arm
right leg
left leg
chest
abdomen
back

You feel certain that some pitch-black leathers appear to impose high maneuvering hindrance and fair stealth hindrance, offering:
high protection and good damage absorption for puncture attacks.
high protection and good damage absorption for slice attacks.
high protection and good damage absorption for impact attacks.
low protection and good damage absorption for fire attacks.
fair protection and good damage absorption for cold attacks.
moderate protection and good damage absorption for electrical attacks.

If you were only wearing some pitch-black leathers you could expect your maneuvering to be insignificantly hindered and your stealth to be insignificantly hindered.

You are certain that the pitch-black leathers are quite guarded against damage, and are practically in mint condition.

The pitch-black leathers are fairly soft.
You are confident that the pitch-black leathers weighs about 330 stones.
You are certain that the pitch-black leathers are worth exactly 793 Dokoras.
Roundtime: 8 seconds.

Unless you had the noun changed, I'm going to assume it was player crafted? The only light armor in the wiki that weights 330 stone is that longcoat.

I tried matching on the protection values, but couldn't find anything that matched that either.

The weight appraisal isn't certain for weight, so if you can, go to MAMA's and get an exact weight. Since appraisal ranges have changed a couple times over the years, if the armor page for the original item wasn't updated, the armor stats might not match the current appraisal in a search. On the other hand, appraisal value and weight shouldn't have changed, and the noun should match (unless you had the item altered).

Thanks for the input, guys. It's not a big deal, was just curious where I got this from. I had it coupled with an old leather cowl and reinforced hide gloves from way back when. Here's the exact weight:

You put your pitch-black leathers on the counter.

Twelvetoes hefts the pitch-black leathers and puts it on the medium balance scale. He patiently adds small sacks of stones on the other side till the beam becomes exactly level.

Twelvetoes squints at the balance beam needle and says, "The leathers weighs about three hundred thirty-six stones," and puts the leathers on the counter.

You pay Twelvetoes and take your leathers off the counter.

Those look to be perfect gargoyle-hide reinforced leathers from the old tanning system.

That's exactly what these leathers are, thanks Absolon. As soon as I saw "gargoyle" I was reminded.
