It used to be 'leather-clad' or 'plate-clad,' now it's just 'armor-clad' whether I'm wearing leather or plate. Is the damage boost from heavier armors still a thing or is it just a armor or no armor thing?

My Paladin still says plate-clad when I punch wearing my plate gauntlets. I didn't have any other types of gauntlets handy to try and just tossed a punch because I happened to be hunting anyway.

Brigandine and possibly chain will say armor-clad? Everything should be working fine, and armor-clad is valid if I am recalling correctly.

Oh that's right, it was brig; I'm still thinking of it as plate. But I swapped out my scale sleeves for leather gloves and it still says armor-clad:
You slip some coarse gargoyle-hide gloves onto your hands.
>punch
< Driving in with naturally fluid movements, you punch your armor-clad fist at a black-backed jackal.
