And here's something cute I made up while thinking about the whole "I'll just raise my shield" routine:

Tribanin taps a tower shield.

Rigby raises his arms skyward, chanting.

Tribanin asks, "That's Burn?"

Rigby says, "Uh... yeah."

Tribanin raises his tower shield over his head.

Tribanin exclaims, "I'm ready for ya!"

Rigby gestures at Tribanin.
Tribanin collapses as if dead.

Rigby says, "I lied."

Tribanin grunts.

Tribanin stands up.

Rigby raises his arms skyward, chanting.

Tribanin asks, "Ok, that's Burn, right?"

Rigby says, "Of course..."

Tribanin raises his tower shield over his head.

Rigby gestures at Tribanin.
A noose of darkest shadows forms in his hands. With a flick of his wrist, he sends it flying at Tribanin!
Tribanin cries out as the noose of shadows closes around his neck!

Rigby says, "...only, no. It's not."

Rigby traces an arcane sigil in the air.

Rigby pauses in his spell preparations and turns his attentions to Tribanin!

Tribanin asks, "Which is that?"

Rigby says, "Aether Lance."

Tribanin moves his tower shield in front of him.

Rigby gestures at Tribanin.
A bolt of lightning blazes out of the sky toward Tribanin!
Tribanin flinches as the bolt grazes his left leg and scorches the skin.

* Tribanin was just struck down!

Rigby says, "I meant Lightning Bolt."
