Requirement Change Outline 03/10/2002 02:09 PM CST
These are the general guidelines we are shooting for in the requirement change. Keep in mind that these are tentative, not finalized, not approved by the Senior Staff yet, and are subject to change. I am merely letting you folks know what we're thinking so you have time to train what you are lacking, and aren't caught by surprise. We don't expect any requirement changes to appear until some time after the Magic Moratorium lifts, so you've got plenty of time to remedy any deficiencies.

1) Teaching requirements will decrease, but will still be present in a moderate capacity.

2) Some kind of broadened lore requirement will be introduced. The specifics are not clear yet whether this will be an average or something different. It'd be safe to pick two or three lore skills and train them, but don't necessarily ignore the rest.

3) Targeted Magic will be required. It won't be much in low levels, but it'll ramp up pretty fast post 50th. We elected to go this route instead of a second weapon.

4) Some minor requirements will be added at low levels. Foraging, Skinning and Mech are currently expected, since they are all involved in various communes and rituals and we plan for them to hold even more significance down the road.
