I always used to give the Beggar a coin or two now and then as I would pass him in the streets. I can't seem to give him coins any more, using any of my years of syntax tricks. I thought I'd mention it here in case it is a Task related bug - it would be a shame to blow the fellows cover.

Not task related, because it works in Plat (at least the non-thief version, though I assume both use the same syntax). Most likely culprit is the recent events that resulted in the beggar being converted into a temporary guild leader.

thief version still works. and better than before.
