Okay, someone mentioned this years ago and I thought it looked good...

Tattoos have not changed for as long as I've played this game (many years, on a few accounts) and they could use some love... the simplest way I can see to take care of both the lack of variety and uniqueness that people have complained about is to have a contest, every six months maybe, where people can submit their ideas and X number can be chosen by a GM or a goup of GMs... those are put in a shop, stick around for awhile (until the next contest, or maybe for only a short time like a month?) then the cycle repeats. Anyone who likes their old tat can keep it, or go get a new one from the next batch if they want.
