Appraising Gem Pouches 04/26/2007 04:35 AM CDT

Would anyone happen to know if there's a cap on the value of gem pouches you can learn from? I'm able to learn from a gem pouch worth 1 platinum Lirum and not from one worth 11 platinum Lirum.

If so, what's the magic number here, 10 plat Kronars?

It's a combination of total value of the pouch and the individual value of gems in the pouch. If you filled a pouch with 70 small topazes you wouldn't get as much learning time as if you had, say, 35 medium topazes.

The gems are medium or large zircon/amethysts, malachite stones and sapphires; all above 750 Lirums or so. I just find it odd that I can learn from an accurate appraise on a cheap pouch, but not with an accurate appraise on a pouch worth more than 10 times the other's value.

Maybe exp is only calculated if the value is under 99,999 Kronars for example. I'll just play around and see what combination of gems seems to teach best.
