So, after i came back a few months ago, i noticed the critters i was killing were dropping random metal nuggets that i'm assuming can be smelted into ingots. I have never once attempted to forge anything of my own, and only ever been inside one of the various forges like 2-3 times, so i'm pretty clueless. I havent wanted to waste any potentially valuable materials, so i have basically been clogging up my vault with covellite/oravir nuggets.

I'm having trouble finding any info on these, and i dont want to waste the materials. If someone could point me towards a decent guide that would be able to coach me through the process since i'm completely clueless with forging, that would be awesome. I saw the various smelting/forging pages on e-pedia, but i'm not sure where to start.

Thanks Raist, this helps for sure. I think my problem was not knowing if the nuggets i currently possessed were the part i should be using for smelting. I have tanned some stuff before and i fletch all the time, but i've actively avoided forging up until now mainly because all of the mixing/ratio stuff with the metals made absolutely no sense and kinda overwhelmed me a bit i think, so i got scared off.
