bonding potion for shield 06/19/2016 04:54 AM CDT
for some reason a bonding potion that is used on a shield causes you to summon your shield off your arm and put it in your left hand. is this a bug?

Nope! Bonding invokes always try to pull the item to your hand. This sometimes results in weirdness that will make items think they're being worn, if your hands were full and INVOKE tries to pull all of your bonds. This is a bug we're aware of and it seems to primarily happen after being arrested and getting your items redressed.

Another 'feature' of bonding I have found is if you are using a weapon that is bonded, then switch to another bonded weapon (such as a bonded sword, then going to a bonded thrown), when you invoke the bond it will bring the previous weapon to hand, and then if you do not notice it, the shield is next. At that point the shield is both on your arm and in your hand.

Would it be possible to add support to invoking to allow you to invoke <itemname> to avoid issues invoking the wrong item into your hand? This would especially be nice for those of us with bonded kantons pouches as sometimes these end up getting bugged as being worn even thought hey may be stowed in other containers. Its frustrating trying to train LT with a bonded weapon and ending up invoking your HT spear and so forth.
