Quest 07/13/2005 10:31 PM CDT
Could someone please tell me how to complete a quest? My guildleader told me to get a scalp and I did but now I don't know how to complete the quest. Thanks

The way to complete a quest is to do some action that triggers the last phase. This last phase may or may not be reachable immediately, though usually you have to work your way through at least an intermediate phase that then points you to the endgame. Once the last phase is completed, you get awarded the prize (usually a guild ability).

Any other questions? :)

True, but someone could send an answer to his play.net addy with advice or help. It is a game, but sometimes these quests end up like syntax puzzles which make it really not fun. Unfortunately he left out guild and what ability he's seeking, so I have no a clue. Sounds like one of those warmie quests where they send the kids for a skin or pelt or some sort.

It does, and the completion of the first 4 Warrior Mage AP quests, so far as I know, is not considered an in-game secret. Not given all the explicit posts on the subject even when they were first released, in the AP topic over in the Warrior Mage area.

If it is one of the Warrior Mage AP quests, all you have to do is give the item to the guild leader. It may take a few tries to get the guildleader to accept it, but that is, also, a known bug.

What Kyn said, Gauthus is a pain. It takes forever to get him to accept. Well assuming this post isn't pulled, in answer to your question and assuming it's not too late now (you might have to go on another quest) hold the scalp, hide or skin in your right hand and type Give Gauthus. Make sure you spell out Gauthus

You gesture at a sand sprite.
Its head soars through the air as its neck is entirely destroyed!
A sand sprite slowly falls to the ground, moaning in despair, shuddering in pain before taking her last breath.
